Once you’ve found an apartment you like, let the apartment manager or landlord know you have a pet. Discuss weight and breed restrictions, fees, deposits and pet rent before signing a lease so there are no surprises down the road. While this isn’t an exhaustive list of pet friendly Chicago apartments, it will get you started in the right direction.
